Emanuela Rabajoli

Research Interests

My research interests are primatology, ethology and human evolution, especially the behaviour and ecology of primates and how we can use them as models to gather insights about our own evolutionary paths.

Short Bio

I am a PhD student at the University of Algarve with an FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia) grant.

I have always been interested in non-human and human primate behaviour and studying the evolutionary roots of behaviour. I am an ethologist, my master’s degree was “Evolution of Human and Animal Behaviour” and my thesis investigated lemurs’ communication using a multimodal approach and deep learning. My project aims to study not only primates and their ecology but also the evolution of human behaviour, adaptations and sociality.
